The latest solution to finding the right pair of jeans has nothing to do with slimming or elongating your legs — it’s all about the butt.

Designers at Levi’s noticed that women were buying high-waisted denim one size smaller for a lifting effect on their derrieres. Rather than have their customers uncomfortable in a too-tight pair, they came up with a flattering fix.

The result? The Wedgie jean ($88-$158, levis.com), which comes in three different shades, from light to dark. Though the name might make you cringe, the style and fit definitely won’t.

According to Levi’s, the new booty-hugging pants took design cues from the slim-fitting jeans of the 1960s. But the modern-day version enhances the backside thanks to pockets that tilt slightly inward to exaggerate roundness. The stretchy denim holds in the stomach for an hourglass silhouette. 

Take it from Kylie Jenner, who accentuated her assets with a pair when the product was introduced online in January.

Thanks to her posts, which put her booty front and center, the jeans promptly sold out. Levi’s has since restocked its inventory (for now) in sizes 25 through 31.
